Woke up at 7am today, but left the house somehow at 8,10. Took a cab and arrived at 8.55 from 8.30pm, and that cost $23. first meeting of the day was BB, at jurong clementi. the feel in general was that good suggestions were being made by TKS, but to approach them through feasibility would require more time, and since the submission of form was on thurs, 90% of the things are for next phase. I think the perspective of engagement of the school is still seen from a negative angle in that teachers do not want more " work " for themselves hence, TC is not too keen to get them on board. S said the design should be for the residents and not the students. i thought it should be seen as that the schools involvement is a way for them to have something they don't want to manage. L gave a really good parallel for the second phase one #buyitlateronthewayhome. In the afternoon, followed up on 2 lift suppliers and then send out a couple of emails for PP, for the ESS, portal frame structural integration and landscape planting guide feel. Tom will be a day for BB. Left office at 6.15, and walked back. chance upon a CNY market, a sleepy one with large taupaulin tents, and ended up having dinner at the hawker. porridge with century egg and pork. and walked till orchard. the walk there would be around 8000 steps, had 4000 steps by the end of the day. my cough is getting better after taking the $85 bill of medicine. today, the whole day i was feeling really sleepy. but the gum really helps me to be alert, somehow, the action of chewing generates more oxygen for the brain, and hence, one if forced to be more alert? i am enjoying my scope of work now, at the office, the only thing is that i feel my design skills may be dropping a little... think i ll read a little and zzzZZZ feeling sleepy from the afternoon. Maybe it is the CO2 buildup and the lack of fresh air?
Thoughts:
Perhaps contentment is being able to see the sunshine outdoors, as one walks, after work. Walking forces you to take in diversity.
Book Review:
Omens by Neil Gaimen & Terry Pratchett
About an angel and devil, and how they work together to let nature take its course.

He attributes his approach to architecture like mountain climbing. About solving problems as you go along..
