Woke up at 6.30, then left the house at 8am. so got into office at 8.45am. good time. worked on pp_nrp in the morning instead of bb. on the substations. never have substations stood out so much as now, everywhere i go, somehow, i start to see the SS. valuehotel, any hdb cluster. oh well, guess it is a good thing. concerns were about the orientation of placement of that giganomous object of 5x2.4 x 3m. went to telok blangah for lunch,it was a chilly day after the article of 22 degree Celsius days ahead. had the sotong teochew noodles, and a cup of hot ginger tea. started on bb after lunch, with the need to print 15 sets of A4 color binded paper. even bought a special cutter to cut the plastic. quite a few round of testing and adjusting only to realise on the way home that i didn't align the last page bottom margin. overall it is looking quite nice i have to say; with enough white space all around to breathe. The presentation to 15 people is tomorrow from 7-8.30pm. had a guinness earlier where we spotted our japanese neighbour. for some reason, i thought about the new blade runner movie i ve watched earlier. electronic consciousness and body doubles, not exactly a new theme having been explored in "Her", but nevertheless a recurrent theme in futurist movies somehow. Read the shinkenchiku magazine i brought back from tokyo yesterday. a very vibrant documentation of the jury's comments on students' architecture competition submission. w big names such as kuma and tsukamoto. and mega buildings of mixed use completed in japan with exciting facade and interior treatment. somehow being immerse in the japanese setting, makes you really want to go as deep as you can.
